Another funny story from the same teacher:
In one of her kindergarten classes, she has three Chinese students, all little boys. They are just thrilled that they are in the same kindergarten class, the same academic enrichment class, and they all three attend the same Chinese school on Saturdays.
Our teacher asked the little boys what they did in Chinese school, and they explained that right now they were learning the characters in the Chinese alphabet and how to speak Chinese. Another non-Chinese boy in the class, upon hearing this, asked if they could say something in their language.
Picking up on the teachable moment that had just presented itself, our teacher asked the boys "Who can say I go to (school name) in Chinese?". Immediately, one of the little boys answered: "I go to (school name) in Chinese".
You can see the wheels turning in those tiny little brains and you just never know what is going to come out of those mouths!
